Christine Hannett Garner

Specializing in painting, photography, and design, my interest in art began while attending an art show at the home of American Landscape Painter, Frederic Church, in Hudson, New York, with my grandparents, at age five. I soon began taking art classes and continued through college, where I earned a B.A. in Visual Art/Graphic Design from UMBC. I love acrylic landscape painting, but I also enjoy watercolors, oil and chalk pastels, photography, wood burning, and exploring different media. As a frequent visitor to New York, I've had a lifelong attachment to the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley. I'm inspired when wandering upstate, but also find inspiration in architecture, history, nature, religion, and the whimsy of childhood. As for the name... My grandmother, still living in the Historic City of Hudson, would treat my sister and I to go "Overstreet," when we were kids, and shop in the heart of the city. That's pretty much where my heart remains.
